Cure The Future Party 2007 - What a Success!

The first ever Cure the Future Party on Friday 2 November at the Great Hall, Sydney Uni, raised over $120,000 for cell and gene research!

This is a fantastic result from our first attempt and we here at Cure the Future are understandably ecstatic.  As announced on the night, every cent raised from the party will be directed to the three current research projects in John Rasko's lab which are investigating potential cures for haemophilia, prostate cancer and leukaemia and other blood diseases.  That money will make a very real difference in terms of enabling the research to proceed earlier and faster than it otherwise could.

The feedback we have received from everyone who came to the party has been glowing.  It seems everyone had a great time, and therefore it's big ticks for both our strategic goals:

1. Best party of 2007

2. Buckets of money.

We are hugely grateful to everyone who had anything to do with the party - our guests, the many corporate supporters who provided prizes, services or other stuff, our volunteer helpers and our executive team who put the whole thing together.

Again, thanks for your support for Cure the Future and we look forward to keeping in touch with you.  As for next year's party - get in early.  It'll be all that and more.

Chairman, Cure The Future
